First, I have suffered from acne since I was in high school and college too and now I got better but I have lots of acne scars in my face and I don`t feel handsome and feel pretty lonely now. Since I was 19 till now, I had 3 girlfriends and I love them very much but it did not last long. Well the scars and the acne (the acne I had it for years) made me a shy person (and my self esteem is pretty low too) to ask a girl out. My last girlfriends have told me that I am a very romantic, nice, honest and funny guy but it never worked out because two of them move to different states and one went back to the ex bf. My friends also hooked me up with girls but I never did anything because I am looking for a particular type of girl. I am looking for a girl that is educated, nice, honest, funny, love to watch movies, and have a pretty face.
My bank teller, I met her 1 month ago by the drive through and when I saw her I was amazed by her beauty. The first thing I did was look at her eyes very deeply (she had dark brown eyes) and she noticed and looked back at me. Last week I went to my bank again and to avoid her I went inside the bank because I knew she might be at the drive through window(I was avoiding her because i think she is too pretty for me and it would be impossible for her to be with me). I went to make two deposits one for me and the other for my bro. so inside the bank I don`t see her and a teller is helping me and after a few minutes she came out of her telling position and was next to my bank teller. I start looking at her very deeply again and when she noticed she looked back again and I felt something weird inside of me and turn my head and faced MY teller and then the teller I like asked me, Hi how you doing, do you need help with something? And I said no and she replied well if you need help let me know and I said thank you. I was wondering why she offered herself to help me when the teller next to her was already helping me. It was weird I think. Now the teller who is helping me finished my deposit and I was about to give her my brothers deposit but I could not find my brothers money even though I was so sure I brought with me. So I go back to the car and I find the money and went in the bank again and all the tellers were busy except the one I like which is weird. So she is helping me and we are pretty quiet and I looked at her when she was not looking (wow she is beautiful) and then I got her name from her name tag. But it was a weird moment because we did not say anything to each other and I just left. I went today(3/14/2010) to my bank and I was looking for her but I did not see her but I saw an American girl that looked like her but with a new hairdo but she was busy and another teller helped me. Can you please girls and guys tell me why I felt something when I looked at her and she looked back??And is it too much coincidence what happen last week???? My friends and coworker advised me to break the ice or I’ll keep being alone.
Here is what I want to do; first time I see her, ask her how her day is so far and how is her weekend so far? The second time I see her, write her a little note and say I think you are beautiful and I would to get to know you better. Please let me know if you want to have coffee sometime? And write my number on the note and wait for her to call me. I don`t want to embarrass or get her in trouble at work. Hopefully she calls. What would be the best advice from you to me?
I have been rejected twice already and feel like this would be the third time but with this bank teller I felt something like a connection and plus the coincidences. I think the reason I been rejected twice was because of my acne scars and it makes me sad because I am being judge by that. I feel like giving up but I feel like fighting too and sometimes I think I fight for nothing because at the end I might be rejected again. My scars have faded a little through time but they are still there and one to two pimples sometimes. Please be honest when you wirte. I`ll update this and let you know what happened.

Well where to start ….
1. You must lose your inhibitions and not let your self-esteem get in the way. Remind yourself that you are ok and really not that bad! I still get the occasional flare up of acne and I’m 27. Check your diet, clean your face everyday and that should help.
2. I used to be as shy as you and looking back I can see that I was always over-thinking things. What you describe about being shy and wanting to leave a note sounds very childish and somewhat creepy/stalkerish. I know I sound cruel but it’s very important that you change that behaviour.
3. Break the ice. Don’t EVER be afraid of rejection. Learn from past mistakes. My advice to you would be to just go up confidently and straight out say ‘hi how are you? how’s your day going? i’ve noticed you here before. Just ask her if she would like to join you for a drink after work (assuming you are of legal age) or to hang out somewhere.’ Don’t say something cliche like ‘you are so beautiful’ trust me, it sounds very creepy and it’s probably something she’s heard many times before from guys just trying to get into her pants.
Don’t take offence if she says no. Don’t place too much emphasis on her ‘being the one’. There’s lots of great women out there and eventually your turn will come. Just open up and dare to try something that you wouldn’t normally consider doing because of your shyness.
I was like you and I can contribute a couple of interesting stories that might give you some inspiration. Firstly, I was very shy for a long time – even during university. My first few attempts at asking girls out were always awkward and ended in failure. I also put myself down. Then an interesting thing happened with a work colleague. I used to pay her a bit of attention and was always saying hi. One day I got up the nerve to ask her out and lo and behold managed to get her number. OK it ended in disaster because I later found out she was already dating one of the other workers – talk about awkward when I passed by him later on! She texted me to say that she was taking her bf to the clinic because he broke his arm at football…so there you go, my first ‘success’ turned out to be someone potentially interested in an affair.

Now, for the success story. I too had almost given up on finding someone. But out of the blue I met my current girlfriend. We are talking seriously about the long term future and the possibility of marriage. She was my tour guide when I visited China last year and we stayed in contact. I had originally planned to pursue biotech into Europe but changed my plans to look at China. Discovered teaching English (as a good backup qualification to travel anywhere in the world and get established or to try and fall back on if I lost work) and came here to meet up with her again.
So don’t give up too easily. Yes life throws coincidences at you and if it feels right then try it out. I can relate to you about coincidences. There’s many things that I share in common my gf. And we are quite often in tune to each other’s thinking! To the point of ringing each other at the same time, buying the same item in our way home from work (buying her favourite snack for example). Our grandfather’s passed away on the same day (exactly 1 year apart), we’ve both injured the same toe etc… Sometimes it’s a bit creepy how well we pick up on what we are thinking/feeling.
Anyway, that’s off-topic. At the end of the day don’t give up and try to reassure yourself that you are good looking and capable of appearing confident.

You are such as sweet young lady, because I would not have taken 30 seconds to explain anything to anyone. Yes, to most of us you are beautiful plain face and all, but if YOU feel you need to tan your face, then it is important to do it. People can be real butts sometimes. BTW, I think the tan looks good on you, too!
i know exactly what you mean when you say your face is pale compared to your body. lol everyone tells me my face is so white but my skin is tan. but i can’t control it my face just doesnt tan at alll lol

Im only thirteen lol , and I am mixed too.. i go naturally go soo dark in the summer and really palee in the winter .. and i dont likee paleness .. on me #LOL .. imma tryy thiss in winter xD !!
@MsPrettyInPink24 That is also true, but I wear SPF 30 on my face every day and not on the rest of my body, so my face isn’t really tan at all but my arms and legs are.
