What is the best self-tanner cream/lotion for fair-skinned and sensitive people?

Question by pannie23: What is the self-tanner for fair-skinned and people?
I am interested in getting some more color before summer, but I dont want to go tanning in a booth/bed etc. So, I want to try self-tanning cream/lotion. I have fair skin that is pretty sensitive, so I wanted to know what was the best stuff out there. I had heard that Jergens was pretty good, but I didnt know if there are other good ones too.

I fit your desription, and I use Coppertone endless summer gradual tan. I have no complaints. No reactions. And the price is right.

Hey I am a stylist. I recommend you try Tan Towel or Fake Bake. Depending on your area some local salons may carry the product. They will both give you a nice natural color. All my clients are using it.

    Give it A Try!! :)

Jergens Natural Glow–easy to use, inexpensive and very subtle and natural looking. It is never “orange” looking!

i have jergens on now (:
the jergens for fair skin doesnt really give me that much of a radiant tan.. its not that noticable.. Im sure the kind for medium-skin is much darker and better..
I’ve heard Carress natural glow is pretty good..
I also remember last year at Kohls they had a self-tanning lotion that worked really good and i wanna get some of that

actually i was going to say jergens for fair skin. i used it and it was great! and i “tanned” fast. but if you miss a spot EACH application that spot will obviously stay the same color. good luck

P.S. the tan looked natural too. not orangeish

you have to be careful with those self tanners. I have heard that the best is jergans, but i would try going to the tanning salon and getting the spray on tan by the professionals.
    good luck!!

Jergens natural glow daily moisturizer. There is a body and face lotion. they make it for fair, medium, and dark skin tones (face and body.) I have been using it for a while now and it really does work. and another good part is that the face lotion has 20SPF which is good for going outdoors.

Most sunless tanners just turn you orange. I use Jergans Natural Glow. They have it in several different skin tones, I use the one designed for fair skin tones, it works really well. I have very fair skin, blond hair and blue eyes. I buy the regular body lotion and the facial lotion. They each cost me about $7.99 at Target.
I have also gone to a salon and got a spray on tan. It doesn’t turn you orange but it cost me $35.00 and you have to do it about every 2 weeks.

    Hope this helps, take care

    Kali :-)

My best friend is fair skinned and she uses the Jergens Natural Glow lotion. It comes in different types for fair or darker skin and it looks really natural on her. She loves it, it doesn’t look streaky or orange. I would definitely recommend it!

I have had outstanding success with Mystic Tan. It is an ionic spray that causes the outer (epidermal) layer of skin to naturally tan. It wears off in four to six days, like a normal tan does.

The best part is that there is no UV-exposure, and it works after only one application!

They have three option settings: Light, Medium, and Dark. I have done the Medium three times and the Dark once. I did not like the Dark, and prefer the Medium only.

My first visit (in a South Carolina location) was $10, and afterward I bought a package deal that was 7 for $69. The girl who works there said it’s best to wait for a special to get the monthly subscription, because they lower the price every now and then. At the salon I go to, the normal pricing for a month’s unlimited MysticTan sessions is $69 plus a sign up fee. From what I’ve read online, pricing varies around the country.

It’s good you have decided to not use the tanning beds! Proper nutrition is also extremely important in the mitigation and avoidance of skin cancer.
