will using a gradual self tanner moisturizer around my eye area reduce dark under-eye circles?
Question by kiki: will using a gradual self tanner moisturizer around my eye area reduce dark under-eye circles?
I was thinking about picking up some of the Jergens natural glow Face moisturizer. Has anyone seen an improvment on dark undereye circles from using this product? Mine are terrible and I hate having to cake on loads of makeup to cover them. Thanks!
I get 8-10 hours of sleep a night so its not that. The only thing that helps my under eye circles is sun tanning, but I don’t do that anymore.

I think this would work…but your under eye area is very sensitive, I don’t know about applying tanning chemicals there. It would probably be harmless, but if you put a lot of heavy stuff under your eyes besides concealor and some light moisturizer, you could end up getting wrinkles.
What do you think? Answer below!

I used a sunless tanner for about 2 months this fall because I had some weddings to go to. I have dark circles under my eyes because I work a full time job, part time job, and go to school full time so I always look tired. But seriously, while I was using the sunless tanners I didn’t look tired at all. I’m not saying that they will totally take away the dark circles, but the lotion definetly helps!! I would recommend it.
I would dab it on with a foundation sponge or a Q-tip. Just let it dry and don’t wipe it in your eye. If you do, it causes a bit of an itchy eye for a few minutes, but no problems afterward. I use a bit on my face every now and then to even out my skin tone, so it should work great for that too.
i have to suggest that you schedule enough sleep in your life. lack of sleep causes your under eye circles.
want a skin conditioner that ain’t gonna cost an arm and a leg? buy some Vaseline intensive care lotion. it comes in different strengths and it’s cheap.
It is not recommended to use these chemicals near the eyes. the skin under the eye is very thin, and delicate. As a pro makeup artist, and fellow dark circle sufferer, the best solution is sparing use of creamy, not dry, concealer that has light reflective qualities. Choose a yellow based color (yellow counteracts blue) no more that 2 shades lighter than your natural skin color. Too light and you will end up pasty gray,& attracting more attention to the area. If you powder to set the area use light reflective powder, minerals are perfect, but very lightly. When cleaning eye area avoid tugging at all costs it breaks the small blood vessles causing more darkness.
No it will have the opposite effect – get some vitamin E capsules and after you remove your makeup at night apply the contents of one full capsule under each eye-you will see a huge difference i just a few applications! Good Luck!
There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

I’m pasty pale with freckles and will burn if I try to “tan.” Plus, I don’t care for the cancer risk. I’ve tried sunless tanners in the past and turned orange. I don’t want to go to the spa for a spray tan because it’s expensive.
I don’t need a tan, just some color to keep from being so pasty. LOreal Sunless Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer Fair Skin Tones worked great for me. I had a hint of tan color within a day, nice and even, and it got a little better each day. It didn’t look weird on my fair skin. It was nice and subtle, without taking forever to emerge. The micro pearl flecks also gave me a nice immediate glow. By the way, on my face, I used LOreal Sunless Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer Face for Fair Skin, which did not have the pearl flecks, but did have SPF 15. It doesn’t give as much color, but that is okay because I wear makeup anyway.
Some people complain about the smell, but I think it depends on taste. I’ve seen in other reviews that it smells like tea, and it does a little. My husband doesn’t even know what I’m putting on, but last night in bed, he commented that I smelled so good, and he kept sniffing me because he liked it better than those floral or fruity lotions. He had never complimented my lotion scent before!
It is great as a moisturizer, too, my dry skin feels nice and hydrated all day. It’s a bonus that it is giving me a little color, too.
I give it five stars!

I have tried them ALL and have a closet filled with half used bottles of tanner ranging in price from $5 to $30 and I have to say, this gives me the best color and the best coverage. Most people have yellow undertones to their skin which works well with self tanners, but I have very fair skin with pink undertones and most of them come out orange and uneven which is very obvious on my fair skin. I am sooooo impressed with the light brown color – it looks very natural, sunkissed, and glowy. I just stocked up!
Also, I think it smelled nice – kind of like a light grapefruit scent. I’m not sure what offended the other reviewer unless she dislikes the smell of citrus or the way the product reacts to her body chemistry. Most of them smell bad when they react to the bacteria on your skin’s surface, but that washes off in the shower in the morning when you wash with a good antibacterial soap (I use Dial).

I have used LOreal Sunless Sublime Glow Fair Skin tone for 2 days now and I am shocked at what a wonderful tan I have. I am blonde and pale skinned and I have a nice soft glow now and am not orange or fakey looking at all and the tan is even and no streaks…… this is a prefect product!!!! The oder is not bad at all…. I am not sure why some complained about that…. after the lotion is dry I only smell my perfume. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! Marilyn

This is a great product and it gives my pasty white skin just the right amount of a light brown glow. It doesnt smell nearly as bad as Jergens Natural Glow, though it is a bit more expensive. It’s not only a great gradual tanner but it’s also a great moisturiser and when applying you don’t really need a lot. I’d recommend applying after a shower before bed and wearing loose fitting clothes…great product!

I have been using self tanners since 1991 and this is by far the best one I have used. It looks very natural like you just got back from the day at the beach.. I’m very pale with dark hair and eyes, i tan dark but i dont want to damage my skin. This product is great, it really moisturizes the skin as well, my face is dry, so i applied my usual moisturizer before i applied this and it came out nice and dewy.
Use gloves as well..love it
