You can try to use a body scrub, but other than that it will probably have to wear off. Sorry!

Honestly… You cant “MAKE” it come off.. it will have to come off by itself. One of my friends was going to try a spray on tan..that you do urself..well we wanted to know if it would make her orange so we sprayed to bottom of my foot with it and it turned CRAZY ORANGE…it went away in about a week or so…..
you will just have to wait and see what happens…..
    GOOD LUCK

Beauty and Erin both said the things you need to know. Combine both of their answers and that will completely get rid of all of it.

scrubbing will get it off eventually. that’s why the directions tell you to put in on a small section of skin that isn’t very noticable to check your reaction to the lotion.

You may remove it by this product:

OR you may adjust the color by using it daily.

In order to have an even tan, apply a scrub first. Because you can have a better (more even) effect on a smooth surface. And then apply your self tan by a glove to protect your palms. Use small amounts of the product, because as you apply it daily you’ll get a darker tan. And finally foams or sprays are easier to use than lotions.

i had the same problem once and i asked my mam she said squeeze the juice out of a lemon and mix it with salt then scrub it in i thought she was crazy at first but it worked straight away

This has happened to me before. The easiest way I’ve found, is washing the area with toothpaste. It will also leave you smelling minty fresh ;-P

My medicine cabinet is chock-full of self-tanners, bronzers and “subtle glow” lotions, and none of them hold a candle (UV ray?) to Dove’s gradual tanning lotion. After one or two ‘applications’, your tan is already full-on and streak-free. I apply it liberally because it is a lotion, after all — It doesn’t deliver a yellow- or orange-brown, but a red-brown, which is the most natural tan of all. The best part is that it dries quickly and doesn’t carry any of the negatives that accompany regular self-tanners, so no major stains on your sheets, horrid smell or major damage if you DO flub while applying it. It’s inexpensive, too. I bought it on a whim in the drugstore and it turned out to be a miracle! You really will be OK with reliquishing other self tanners and tanning beds once you discover this.

Compared to all the regular drug store brands, I think Dove has the best self tanner line. I’ve tried several others and Dove is the only one that doesn’t have an orange tint. I use the medium to dark Dove lotion, and it really does give me a darker, brown color rather than a bronze color that starts to look orange after a couple applications.

Honestly, I just buy the lotion and the body wash because the smell makes me feel invigorated and ready for the world. I have always used dove products as a kid because of my sensitive skin. I highly recommend this one particular product because of the smell!

I am very impressed with this product. I have relatively fair skin and bought the “fair to medium” one on a whim. I wasn’t expecting much as I don’t have much experience with self tanners! But this blew me away. It is so easy to apply, just like a lotion, with absolutely no streaking of any kind. The smell is very pleasant but not at all overwhelming. (I couldn’t notice it after I applied it.) I used it on my face, which is horribly sensitive, and experienced no burning or breakouts. Results were noticeable within the first application and were so natural and non-orange! No staining of clothes and quick-drying. WOW! Thank you, Dove, I’ll stick with your brand!

The Dove Energy Glow gives the perfect natural tan. I had back surgery and haven’t been able to tan at all. This lotion makes you look healthy and is very moisturizing. I love It!!
